About

Rebecca is an AEA and SAG actor based in Chicago. She grew up in Minneapolis, MN, where she attended the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and later graduated from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program. She has worked at prominent regional theaters in the Midwest such as the Guthrie, the Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Drury Lane, the Marriott Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, and American Players Theatre, among others. She can be seen on TV in episodes of Chicago PD and neXt, as well as commercials for Jergens, Anheuser-Busch, State Farm, and Castor & Pollux.

When she is not acting she is working with young people. She teaches acting and musical theatre in Chicago Public Schools (K-8th grade) through arts enrichment programs facilitated by Filament Theatre, the Brainchild Collective, Porchlight Music Theatre, and Music House School of Performing Arts. She is especially passionate about working with neurodiverse learners and currently teaches sensory-friendly drama curriculum to students through the Red Kite Program at Chicago Children’s Theater. In addition to teaching in the classroom, she has also been a private acting coach for teens and young adults for the last 6 years. She helps young actors find her creative voice and amplifies it.

She loves stories and storytelling in all its forms and believes in the power it has to build empathy, create connections, and strengthen community. She approaches each project - and student - with a ready mind, an open heart, and a spirit of play.
